Crew Member Benefits

Crafters Exchange
One Shift = 4 Hours
Setup, Sort & Tear-Down shifts count as 2 shifts!
Your spouse or significant other is welcome to help during our Setup and Tear-Down shifts.
Their volunteer hours may be combined with yours toward earning Crew Member rewards.
To help us with scheduling and planning, please register them as a Crew Member Only in
My Consignment Manager and sign them up for the shifts they will be working.
Why Setup, Sort & Tear-Down Shifts Matter
Setup, Sort and Tear-Down Shifts are the backbone of every Crafters Exchange sale. These are our most
critical volunteer positions, helping us prepare the sale before opening and sort merchandise after the
sale closes. Because these shifts are so important, they count toward the qualifying shift requirements for
our Crew Member reward levels.
Understanding Setup, Sort & Tear-Down Shifts
Setup Shift
A Setup Shift consists only of the time spent preparing the sale before consignor merchandise is placed on
the sales floor. This shift takes place on the first day of event setup and typically lasts 4–5 hours. Crew
members help transform the venue by setting up tables, racks, displays, signage, and other event materials
to get everything ready for consignor check-in and shoppers.
Please Note: Once setup is complete, volunteers may continue helping by placing consignor
merchandise on the sales floor as items are checked in. This time is not considered part of the
Setup Shift and does not count as two shifts.
Sort & Tear-Down Shifts
Sort and Tear-Down shifts take place during the final two days of the event, after the sale has ended.
Crew members work together to sort unsold items for consignor pickup and charitable donations,
assist with tear-down, and help return the venue to its original condition. These shifts are an essential
part of making the event run smoothly from beginning to end.
The more you help, the more perks you earn! Our crew reward levels recognize the time and
dedication our volunteers invest in making each Crafters Exchange sale a success.
